In order to protect consumers, the DGCCRF has set up the Rappel Conso website, which lists product recalls, food items, or pet food recalls.
It gathers product recalls declared by professionals. This process is mandatory under the consumer code. It is carried out on the site pro.rappel.conso.gouv.fr.
To better assess product recalls, the decree of February 20, 2026, adds new information to be declared by professionals on Pro Rappel Conso:
the quantity of products sold;
the unit corresponding to the quantity of products sold.
The list of information to declare can be found in the annex of the decree of January 20, 2021 regarding the dematerialized declaration on Pro.Rappel.Conso.
Additionally, this text includes the General Directorate for Risk Prevention among the state services that have access to the information on the platform.
A Rappel Conso user guide for professionals is available.
